Our Company History

Frey Systeme was founded in 1989 by mechanical engineer Dieter Frey in Lenggries and quickly developed into an internationally active and successful company.

Initially focused on the production of customer-specific tools and adapters, the company began series production of high-quality and durable isostatic and axial powder presses just a few years later.

Due to the specialization in special machine and plant construction that began in 1991, our machines have evolved over the years into individual systems with a high degree of automation. In order to meet the growing challenges, we have been researching and developing new and innovative manufacturing methods together with universities and research institutes for several years, which make our products even more efficient and economical.

To ensure that our customers are well looked after even after purchasing their new Frey system, we cooperate in the service area with the internationally active Belgian isostatic press manufacturer EPSI.

We now employ over 40 people, who are mainly active in construction, production, assembly, commissioning and service. In recent years, our export share has been around 80%.

After more than 30 years of successful work, combined with a high level of entrepreneurial commitment, Dieter Frey handed over the management to his successor Dieter Lauber with effect from March 1, 2021.

• Dental industry: for the production of implants and dental bridges made of zirconium oxide
• Medical technology: for the production of knee and hip joints made of zirconium oxide or aluminum oxide
• Automotive industry: for the production of gears, oil pump gears or clutch parts made of iron powder
• Hard metal & tungsten carbide industry: for the production of semi-finished products for cutting tools
• Technical ceramics: for the production of rolling elements, bushings, insulators, etc.
• PTFE: for the production of nozzles, seals
• and much more.
