Frey Systeme was founded in 1989 by the mechanical engineer Dieter Frey in Lenggries and within a short time it had grown into an internationally active and successful company.
Initially, the company manufactured customized tools and adapters, but just a few years later it was constructing high-quality and durable isostatic and axial powder presses in series.
Due to the specialization within the special machine and plant engineering that began in 1991, our machines have developed over the years into individual systems with a high degree of automation. To meet the growing challenges, we have been researching and developing new and innovative manufacturing methods together with universities and research institutes for several years, making our products even more efficient and economical.
To ensure that our customers continue to receive the best possible support even after they have purchased their new Frey system, we cooperate in the service area with EPSI, an internationally active Belgian isostatic manufacturer.
We now employ over 40 people, who work primarily in design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and service. In recent years, our export share has been around 80%.
After more than 30 years of successful work, combined with a high level of entrepreneurial commitment, Dieter Frey handed over the management of the company to his successor Dieter Lauber with effect from 1 March 2021.
Our powder presses are used in the following areas:
